Darrell W. Zenk, DDS, MSD

Dr. Darrell W. Zenk has practiced Endodontics as a specialty since 1972.

His undergraduate education was at Macalester College and Pacific Lutheran University. He earned his D.D.S. degree from the University of Minnesota in 1967. Following his tour of duty with the United States Air Force, Dr. Zenk returned to the University of Minnesota, received his M.S.D. in endodontics in 1972 and opened his first endodontic office in South St. Paul. In 1978 he moved his practice to Inver Grove Heights. He also has had an office in Faribault since 1980.

Attending many continuing education courses each year has enabled Dr. Zenk to stay at the forefront of his specialty so he can provide the best and most up to date care for his patients. He has maintained an active membership with the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club in Chicago. Dr. Zenk also keeps up with the latest advancements in dentistry by maintaining memberships with the St. Paul District Dental Society, Minnesota Dental Association, American Dental Association, Minnesota Association of Endodontists and is a specialty member of the American Association of Endodontists.

Dr. Zenk has been an active member of the societies and associations to which he belongs. For example, he served two terms on the Executive Council of the St. Paul District Dental Society and has lectured before the St. Paul District Dental Society and at the State Dental Meeting. He has lectured before the American Dental Association’s Annual Session, as well as in several foreign countries. In the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), Dr. Zenk has chaired several national committees, served as a Trustee of the AAE Foundation, as a Director of the AAE Board of Directors and is currently serving as a Trustee of the AAE Foundation.

Dr. Zenk is also committed to serving his local community. He has served as a Director of the River Heights Chamber of Commerce. He also has served in many officer capacities of his local congregation as well as at the national church level. Currently he serves as Treasurer of the Saint Paul Area Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

Dr. Zenk, his wife Sue, and his two daughters moved to Inver Grove Heights over twenty years ago. Brenda will receive her M.D. Degree from the Mayo Medical School, and is married to Scott Stoven of Jacksonville, Florida. Tamara and her husband Robert are both Ph.D. candidates and teach at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
